Ayrshire Alps Sportive Open For Entries
The 2017 edition of the Ayrshire Alps Sportive is now open for entry.
Join us for an all-ayrshire road cycling challenge across the Ayrshire Alps Cycle Park.
There will be two ride options, starting and finishing in Kirkmichael. This is a non-competitive ride with a social focus and a challenging but hugely scenic route.
The Ayrshire Alps Friendly is a great opportunity to ride and socialise with cyclists from across Ayrshire and Dumfriesshire.
100km
The 100km route heads west to the climb of Blackie’s Brae, then crosses back via Glenginnet and the slopes of Glenalla. Onto the big daddy of the ‘Nic O Balloch’. The shallow slopes of Tairlaw Shalloch are rewarded with a 5mile descent towards Straiton before the final categorised climb of Largs.
60km
The 60km follows most the route of the 100km, but skips the climbs of Glenginnet, Glenalla and Largs.
This is a low cost Sportive at £12, with a food stop on both routes and marshals on a fully signed course.
;In 2016 the event sold out well before the closing date so please book now to avoid disappointment.
