Ronde van Ayrlaanderen 2024

This year’s RVA was a well attended great fun event – with a rather unexpected event….. read on to find out more.

There was some great riding from everyone – and some great pain faces were seen out there on the climbs. As James commented a social ride and a workout mixed together. As usual finding some nice climbs on some rough tarmac (not so difficult to find).

In the female competition Janet Brooks was the runner up with Jude Paterson taking the victory. Overall positions were an impressive 8th and 5th, respectively.

In the open competition, JP Baxter took 3rd spot, James Edwards took 2nd and Alex Paterson took the victory.

So – what was the unexpected event…… Thankfully no Burners were hurt during the event, as we had a massive branch of a tree (more like half a tree) literally fall from the sky in-between two of our riders!
