New Year’s Day Mast Ride

It’ll come as no surprise that this (next ?) year’s Ne’er Day Mast Ride will be a bit different from previous year’s rides.

Instead of a peloton of 20-30 going up in a big group, we’re going to split into smaller bunches so that we comply with all current regulations and socially distance as appropriate.

To help with that, rather than all going up from the coast road, we’ll have groups taking the Nether Auchendrane route (longer but less steep) as well.

As you may know, to comply with the current regs groups are limited to a maximum of 7 riders, so that’s what we’ll be sticking to on 1st Jan.

This all assumes that there are no changes to the rules (which were also in force when we were in Tier 4 most recently) in the coming week. In the event that changes are announced, we’ll update you via this site, Facebook and Twitter.

Key info as follows –

Date – Friday 1st January 2021

Time – 10.30am

Meeting Place – Burns Museum Car Park (just like a Saturday morning ride)

Hopefully this will be a positive start to 2021, and we’ll be able to start thinking about arranging bigger group rides before too long.
