Burners Cycling Holidays Inc.

As you may possibly know by now, we’ve got a couple of trips arranged for 2026. In May, we’ve got our now traditional trip to Javea, followed a few short months later by our first trip to the Alps (based not far to the east of Annecy).

The purpose of this post is give anyone that has missed this the opportunity to get their name on the list for either (or both !!!) of the trips. First up – Javea ….

This, like the Alps trip, will allow us 4 days of cycling on fantastic roads in glorious sunshine (probably). The departure date will be 13th or 14th May, dependant on Ryanair flight times, returning on 16th or 17th May. We’ll fly from Prestwick to Alicante, as usual. Cost for this will be €480 (euros) which covers airport transfers, B&B accommodation, bike hire and a guide on each ride. For anyone who hasn’t been, the whole package is excellent – just ask someone who has been for their thoughts.

The Alps trip, hosted by Bike Weekender in the ski resort of La Clusaz, will run from the 2nd to 6th September. Assuming we get 24 folk signed up, we have exclusive use of their lodge / hotel. The price for this is £600 which covers airport transfers, half-board accommodation (ie B&B and evening meals and wine) and a full support package including a van which will follow us round. Bike hire is £150 on top of that, so in practice it’s £750 all in – unless you take your own bike. For this trip, we’ll fly from Edinburgh to Geneva, which isn’t far from La Clusaz.

If you’ve not put your name down yet but would like to come along, let us know soon. While we do have plenty of people signed up, there is still a little bit of capacity available, so you’re not too late yet.

Go on – you won’t regret it !!!
