Group Rides Update

The last post on the Burners web-site, which seems like a very long time ago, was to announce that all group rides had been postponed until further notice due to the impact of Covid-19.

There have been many changes since then, but the good news is that Scottish Cycling have published updated guidelines on their website. These are as follows –

As of 10 July, you can meet up to four other households (maximum of 15 people) to walk, cycle and partake in non-contact outdoor activities.

This means that we can resume group rides provided they are restricted in numbers as prescribed above. Taking the Saturday morning rides as an example, we can meet as normal at the Burns Museum (observing strict social distancing, of course), before splitting into appropriately sized groups.

These groups will then follow different routes while continuing to follow the social distancing guidelines. This process will continue until the restrictions are eased further.

PS Apologies for the delay in getting this post up – we had some server issues which have now been resolved.
