Challenges galore

This week the members of Ayr Burners Cycling QTS have a new challenge on the cards with the goal being 10% of Tommy.
Tommy Godwin was the record holder for the furthest distance travelled by bicycle in one year – An amazing 75,000 miles in 1939. The Burners will endeavor to cover ten percent of Godwins daily mileage over the course of the next 2 weeks, with 283 miles required from each Burner to complete the task. Bonus points will be awarded to riders for any extra mileage covered.
Next Thursday round 2 of the Summer Series sees The Burners take on the Barnweil TT – A two stage time trial with a qualifying lap followed by a handicapped finale. Henry Cruikshank is the current leader in the Summer Series after his victory in the mid week Marine Drive pursuit race.
