Burners go to Bieles 2017

A group of Burners headed to Luxumbourg last weekend for the 2017 World Cyclocross Championship.

Held in Belvaux (Bieles) in the South West, the course zigzagged through a post-industrial park offering amazing spectating opportunities.

A weekend of frites and mayo, Bofferding beer and celebrity spotting, it proved a great reward for the organising team behind the Doonbank Trofee.   After some tough negotiations, Niels Albert confirmed that Wout Van Aert would ‘probably not’ make the start line of the Super Quaich next year, leaving us a slim window of opportunity to celebrate!

Check out Kevin Pugh’s great gallery of the racing below:

On route home Jonny, Chris, JP, Kev and Gary stopped off in Namur for a recce of the World Cup course. More flights and frites promised!
